Cop in video #1 wasn’t being a dick until the punk kid tried to show up his authority. Kid had no reason (from what we see in the video) to be a prick, just was trying to be a tough guy in front of his friends.
Both cops need some serious counseling, and lifetime ban from public safety jobs. They’ve watched too much South Park and believe Cartman is the ‘truth speaker’.
Couldn’t see Vid 1 but Cop #2 was exactly right. A 14 year old acting that way? Kid needed that foot – he was clueless as to the concept of respect. And those punks couldn’t have missed the signs posted around the Inner Harbor about skate boarding and its prohibition. He had it coming and deserved every little bit of that “come to Jesus”.
Crimes have victims. Whether that be property, financial, bodily, or emotional damage. Skateboarding is not a crime. The cop in SF is a major dickhead. He provokes the accused numerous times “Do you need an excedrin” “I’ll break your arm” “kicking him” and should be somewhere where his authority complex can be harnessed. I’m thinking a pet shop… Those damn kittens are so wild!
