NEW YORK – A candidate who ran for New York governor because “the rent is too damn high” says he’s being evicted from his rent-controlled Manhattan apartment because his landlord wants to charge a new tenant more. He says the landlord wants him out because “my rent is too damn low.” McMillan, now planning a run for president, says he’s told his lawyer to file a counter claim for $70,000. The case is pending in Housing Court. Building owner Lisco Holdings said in court papers that McMillan violated his lease because the apartment is not his primary residence as required by rent-controlled rules. It says he lives in Brooklyn. McMillan says that address is his office.

Jimmy can’t win. It seems that isn’t the only thing that is too high in his life….

I grew up owning a shitload of baseball cards….Donruss…Topps…Upper Deck….Score…I had a stack full of em. Shoving them in those plastic sleeves and making sure that the “real good ones” were placed in that plastic housing. I was the neighborhood hustler who was forging autographs and trading them in with the local kids for some real legit cards.

The prize jewel back in the day was that Upper Deck Jr. Griffey rookie card…..

I never did get my hands on one. My brother has one still to this day and while it’s been a long time since I bought a pack of baseball cards, I could easily find myself back in the game when I see how much people are willing to pay for a Stephen Strasburg card on eBay.

Someone is willing to pay over 10k for a piece of cardboard? I’ve got to go through my cards and start slingin’ them on eBay…..
